Canadians of Moroccan descent received a congratulatory message from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Throne Day.
In this message, the Prime Minister expressed, on behalf of the government, the Canadian people and on his own behalf, his warmest congratulations and best wishes for the well-being of Moroccans.
The 22nd anniversary of King Mohammed VI’s accession to the throne is a “wonderful opportunity for Canadians of Moroccan descent to celebrate their heritage and to strengthen the bonds between them,” Trudeau said.
Justin Trudeau took the opportunity to salute their contribution to Canadian society, highlighting “the culture of traditional ties that have shaped the rich cultural heritage over the years.”
“The Feast of the Throne is an important opportunity to reconnect with and celebrate their heritage,” he added, noting that it also allows Canadians from all walks of life to better understand Moroccan culture.
